Who Needs Therapy?
Short answer: You, me, the guy down the street, his wife, their dog...
Psychotherapy is not simply for those who are stereotypically seen as "sick, seriously unsettled, etc". It is a resource, a tool to build and work on self-awareness, for anyone with the courage to include others in the process toward healing and strengthening heart and soul. We are a rational people. Being rational, we are also relational. We need others to help us organize our thoughts. We need each other to help us find hope, strength and peace. The psychotherapist is a person who has been specially trained to actively listen and to guide, when necessary, people that are willing to be heard. Psychotherapy is for everyone.
